Exit7 in The Student Park

Friday night Er!c's band, Exit7, provided the music for an outdoor vespers program in the S.A.U. student park. The vespers service was celebrating the opening of the new "Goliath Wall" which is the new rock climbing wall and outdoor amphitheater in the student park woods.

The band played a total of five songs and then enjoyed an interesting presentation, complete with wild birds in paper bags...

Table Rock, South Carolina

This past weekend our band took a trip to Table Rock, South Carolina to provide the music for Bryan's dad's church retreat. Bryan had originally been asked to be the guest speaker, however the rest of us were also able to make it, so we also provided the music.

Sabbath morning the band lead out with worship songs for "song service" and then Bryan gave his "sermon" with a few of his songs scattered throughout his message.
After church we had a good potluck dinner and then spent the rest of the afternoon down by the lake, lazing around on blankets... Then we were treated to another yummy meal of burgers & fries with homemade ice cream. Mmmmm...

That night we built a bonfire behind one of the two cabins, and then sat around talking until bedtime.

All in all, it was a pretty fun weekend. . :)

Oh yeah, we also had a dead mouse in our tub...

Exit7 Concert in Collegedale!

Two weekends ago (March 31) we had our first "home concert" at the Collegedale Acacemy Auditorium.
It wasn't a very big turnout, but it was fun nonetheless. We counted about 55 people there (including spouses and those running the sound and slides... We started setting up for the concert at around 1:30 in the afternoon and worked most of the afternoon until the concert which started at 7:00.

Sabbath at Red Clay

On October 7, 2006 after church a group of us headed out to Red Clay State Park for a picnic lunch since it was such a beautiful day! The temperature was almost too cool, but the warm sun made it perfect! We spread out some blankets and relaxed most of the afternoon...

Jane11 and I also took pictures of flowers and bugs...

I was testing out the macro with my new 6 megapixel camera - Check out the detail on those bugs!

For supper, we all got Chinese take-out and went over to Jen and Gill's place and played Apples to Apples. We took Tofu along with us so she and Niko (Jen and Gill's cat) could "play". They spent most of the time just stalking eachother around the appartment sometimes accompanied by a hiss or a growl... :) The first photo below is of Tofu sitting partially on Jane11's head in the car. Jen is looking in through the window.

The last photo was taken Sunday morning. Tofu was sitting in the bedroom window and the lighting was beautiful. I love this picture! I think it's a good photo of our daughter (but then again I might be a little biased).
